As winter catches up to us again, it is time to start preparing for the inevitable… Snow Days. Many of you have weathered the winters with us for years and often call to cancel deliveries or to let us know that your road is or is not passable. Your input really helps as we work around the weather to provide you with the Culligan service and products you have come to expect and deserve.
Safety is our guide during difficult weather and poor road conditions. Every delivery professional and service technician must evaluate each situation as it is encountered. Some roads may be fine for a 4 wheel drive vehicle but our rear wheel drive ¾ ton service vans or 20 foot bottled water trucks might not be able to traverse that same stretch safely. The driver is the only one to make that final decision. If we can’t get there we will call to make other arrangements or reschedule. If the determination is made that a whole route (or a whole day) is unsafe we will work overtime to catch up. That often means you will get your delivery on a different day – sometimes even a weekend delivery. Of course, as many of you already do, letting us know that you can be skipped this time around is VERY helpful.
When planning for missed routes and customers we prioritize emergency calls and institutions such as hospitals and nursing homes first. Then both residential and businesses are scheduled as conditions permit. We will do our best to keep you updated and you are welcome to call the office to check on the status of your stop. If you are able to get out and about you can always stop in to the office to pick up bottled water or salt. We are conveniently located off of Vandiver Drive between Providence and Rangeline – all snow routes. Please do call first to make sure the office staff has made it in.
So, whether you are a bottled water customer, waiting for a salt delivery, needing service on your equipment, or anticipating the installation of new equipment, you can be sure we will do everything we can to get to your water needs in a timely manner. We appreciate your business and during these snow days we appreciate your patience and understanding.
